Carrie Weston - author
Carrie Weston has been writing for children since Lucky Socks in 2001. She has a background in education and has taught in a number of inner-city environments, worked for an Educational Psychology service and as an adviser for an LEA. Having completed her PhD, she is now the programme leader of a degree and masters course at a London university.
Carrie's passion is writing for a young audience. The successful Oh, Boris! was adopted for a literacy campaign in Tennessee launched by the Memphis Grizzlies in 2010. Many of Carrie's books have had successful co-editions overseas and she was recently interviewed by a radio station in Dubai about writing for a young audience. Carrie has a particular interest in the uses of enchantment in children's literature and has written a degree module exploring this idea.
